July 7, 2026 Sydney, NS – The Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League is proud to announce that it will honour Jim “Rico” McEachern, President/GM of the Sydney Sooners, for his extraordinary dedication and commitment to supporting and promoting baseball over the past 50 years, by retiring his number throughout the league. Though individual teams have retired numbers in their own communities, this marks the first time such an honour has been bestowed league-wide.
